With the Amazon app, you can shop and browse, place online orders, check the status of an order, and even get a discount at Amazon-owned stores like Whole Foods. When an app does so many things, like Amazon, you probably start to depend on it. That’s why it’s so frustrating when Amazon App run into issues doesn’t work right.
But don’t lose hope. If your Amazon app shows an error or doesn’t work at all, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot Amazon App issues out what’s wrong and get it working again.

1. Try Amazon App Restart.
One of the most common (and easy to fix) problems is when a software bug stops the Amazon app from starting or loading the main page correctly. Close the app all the way down as a first step (sometimes called force closing the app). Close the app and then start it up again to see if that fixes the problem.
2. Update Amazon App
The Amazon app might not be working because something is wrong with it. For example, it might not work with a recent update to the operating system of your phone. Your apps should be set up to update themselves automatically, but if you’re having trouble, it’s worth checking to see if there’s an update that hasn’t been installed yet.
- Go to App Store / Play store for Apple & Google respectively.
- Search for Amazon App
- Tap the Amazon App.

3. Check Internet Connectivity
If the Amazon app isn’t working right, it could also be because of a connection problem. The Amazon app needs to be able to connect to the internet, either through WiFi or your phone’s data plan.

But on Android, you can clear the Amazon app’s cache without getting rid of the app:
- Open the Settings app and tap the Apps button.
- Tap See all apps if you need to, and then tap Amazon Shopping.
- Select Storage and cache.
- Select “Clear storage.”
5. Restart your phone
If you’re still having trouble with the Amazon app, you should restart your phone. This will get rid of any temporary software problems that are causing your phone to act up. Most Android phones can be turned off by holding down the power button for a few seconds, or by pulling the Control Center down from the top of the screen and tapping the power icon.

6. Download the Amazon app again.
Another possible problem is that your Amazon app or one of its files could be broken. The solution is pretty simple: just delete the Amazon app from your phone and download it again from the app store for your device.
You’ll be logged out automatically, so make sure you know how to sign back into your Amazon account.
7. Update the software on your phone.
Does the phone itself need to be updated with something important? If you have pending iOS or Android OS updates, the Amazon app might not work well with them. It’s a good idea to make sure that the OS on your mobile device is up-to-date in order to avoid any problems.
