The easiest way to remove the Weather and News tabs from your Windows 10 taskbar

Microsoft is constantly tweaking Windows 10 to make it better. Various changes have had varying degrees of success. Weather and News widgets have been added to the taskbar, but you may not like them. Fortunately, disabling it is simple.

With this new widget, you can quickly access the local weather and traffic information, trending news, sports, and stocks in stackable blocks similar to the Live Tiles pane on the Start menu. The update was released in June 2020 to PCs running Windows 10.

When it appears, it's pretty hard to miss. The calendar and notification area will include a small box with a weather forecast. You will see more weather and stock information, sports results, and news by selecting the widget.
