In July, Visio will begin rolling out for free, so you still have a few weeks to enjoy it. What should you expect from it? Microsoft says that the free version of Visio will give you the necessary Visio experience without taking away from the attractiveness of the commercial version.

One of the benefits is the ability to integrate diagrams smoothly into other applications, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams. In addition to co-authoring flowcharts, you can use popular templates to efficiently design your documents.

The lightweight online app isn’t powerful enough to replace the professional features of Visio. The free alternatives, however, make Visio more accessible than it was previously. A sign-up website is available for those interested in testing out Visio before it’s officially launched in Microsoft 365.
