Apple introduced a new Safari design element during the development phase of iOS 15 that relocates the URL and tab interface to the bottom of the screen, a move that sparked immediate outrage among iPhone owners.
Apple ultimately introduced a toggle that moved the address bar to the top of the iPhone screen rather than the bottom, allowing users to revert to an iOS 14-like experience if desired.
How to Move iOS 15 Safari’s Address Search Bar Back to Top
If you’re having trouble adjusting to the address bar being at the bottom of the screen and would want it to be at the top, as it was in iOS 14, follow these steps.
- On your iPhone, open Safari.
- Tap the “aA” icon in the address bar’s left side.
- In the popup menu, select Show Top Address Bar.
Additionally, you can modify this design change under Safari’s “Tabs” section of Settings -> Safari. Select Single to move the URL bar to the top of the Safari UI.
