For Metal Gear Solid fans, a new PlayStation leak is bad news.

If a new PlayStation Now rumour is correct, Metal Gear Solid fans are in for a nasty surprise. Leaks have revealed that 56 distinct titles would be withdrawn from the subscription service this month prior to the PS Plus service being integrated in June. Before the merger, many PlayStation fans expected a few games to be removed from the service, but no one expected this many, and no one expected the majority of the removals to be PlayStation 3 games.

Not only are a large number of PS3 titles being retired, but one of the best is as well. For Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots fans, this is bad news: according to a recent leak, the game will no longer be available on PS Plus on May 17 . This means that after that date ,the game will no longer be playable on PS3 . which is a huge disappointment not just for Metal Gear Solid 4 fans ,but also for anyone who was hoping to play any of those other 56 retiring titles on their PlayStation 3 console .

If you’re a fan of Metal Gear Solid, then you’ll definitely want to check out Metal Gear Solid 4. Developed by Hideo Kojima and Konami in 2008, this PS3 exclusive is one of the best games on the console, with a Metacritic score of 94.

Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania: Lord of Shadow, and Catherine are just some of the PlayStation 3 games that are being removed from the PlayStation Plus membership program this month. Other notable titles include Silent Hill HD Collection and Sonic CD. While some of these games can be found elsewhere, others remain exclusive to the PlayStation 3 platform.
